Pesach/Passover 2010

Category :: Holiday                    Export to My Calendar
Passover, or Pesach in Hebrew, is the Jewish Festival of Freedom. Passover is celebrated for 8 days, usually in March or April, between the Hebrew dates of Nissan 15th to Nissan 22nd.

During Passover, especially at the Passover meal (seder), we remember the slavery, and emancipation from it, of our ancestors, at the time of Moses. We do this, primarily, by reciting the Passover story and by not eating chametz, or leavened grains.
